What's going on in Room 125?

Please Save These Dates!

on May 16, 2012

Good morning families!

I may be repeating myself with notes home, the class calendar, and these posts, but there are so many important dates that I want to make sure everybody knows!  Thank you for the great attendance as the end of the year rapidly approaches. Please keep it up so that everyone is sure to enjoy all of the end of the year festivities!

Please save these dates, and let me know if you have any questions/comments/concerns. I hope to see you at one or all of the following events, and especially hope that all of the students continue to come to school every day to join all of these celebrations!

Friday, May 18: Enrichment Day! (all day). We are spending the day with our Recess Buddies. Not only will this be a fun day, it is also very important to the Buddies. They have done so much for our kids this year, and really love them, so please make sure your child comes to school this Friday.  We will be bowling, having a picnic in the park, making yearbooks, and making a Recess Buddy video!

Monday, May 21: Recess Buddy Party! (11-1) Again, this is an important day to celebrate the first year of the Recess Buddy program. Parents are invited and pizza and cupcakes will be provided. If you have not already done so, please let me know if you will be attending this event TODAY so that we can be sure to have enough food.

Wednesday, May 23: Room 125 Party and Continuation. (1:30-3:30).  This is our own class party. It will be an opportunity to celebrate the year and say goodbye to our friends. We will be especially celebrating our two students who are “graduating” to a new school next year.  Everyone can bring a special treat for the event. Please let me know if you will be attending.

Another note: check your child’s homework folder for IEP progress reports. I will be sending these home in the next few days.  When reading these reports keep in mind that “N” mean “not introduced”, “P” means “progress”, “X” means “mastered”, “R” means “regression” and “O” means no progress or regression.  Let me know if you have any questions!

Thanks for all you do!  I am looking forward to celebrating a wonderful year with all of you!  Do not hestitate to contact me about any of our festivities (or anything else). Have a wonderful Wednesday!

-Ms Wales
