What's going on in Room 125?

iPad Grant

on March 11, 2013

Hello Families,

I hope you had a great weekend. I want to touch base with you about our classroom iPads.

As you know, we received a grant from the Freidman Family Foundation to equip our class with individual student iPads. We have been using the iPads in the classroom as motivators as well as working on some academic skills with them.

There has been discussion about piloting a program to send to iPads back and forth from school and home with students. The intent is that learning could be furthered by working on academic apps at home, rather than using the iPad as a toy. I am trying to get a feel for the interest in starting a home-school iPad exchange for this purpose.  In order to do this, you will need to sign the attached liability form (iPads home liability form), so please take a minute to look this over. Please let me know if this is something you would be interested in pursuing, or if you prefer the iPads remain a school-only tool.

Feel free to send me a note, e-mail, or call to let me know your thoughts. I will let you know what we decide to do.

Have a great day!
